The iHeartScan App serves as a clinical reporting tool for echocardiography, facilitating the documentation and management of heart ultrasound data. The system supports inclusion of numeric measurements and free-text notes, as well as the upload of representative photographs and video clips from the performed study.

All completed studies are stored securely on cloud servers, with patient identifiers maintained on separate databases to ensure confidentiality and privacy protection.

The app generates an interactive PDF report that is emailed to users, encompassing all recorded data alongside thumbnail previews of multimedia content. These thumbnails link dynamically to the original images or videos stored on the cloud, enabling seamless access. The PDF can be archived within electronic medical records for future reference.

Data entry within the app can be tailored to three distinct levels:

• Brief and focused: pattern recognition-based entries requiring minimal measurements, typically completed within 2 minutes
• Goal-focused: incorporating additional limited 2D and Doppler measurements, taking approximately 2-3 minutes
• Comprehensive: involving detailed quantitative assessments of valve function and diastolic parameters, usually completed in around 5 minutes

Following an initial 30-day trial period, access to full functionality will require purchasing a subscription valid for either 6 or 12 months. The LITE version offers complete core features but restricts the recording of patient details and multimedia content.

The app also prioritizes patient confidentiality through integrated in-app communication features. Messages sent via email will notify recipients without revealing content unless accessed through the iHeartScan application itself.
